The name Maitreya is taken from the Sanskrit word maitri (Pali, metta), meaning "kindness," "love," "benevolence," "friendship," "friendliness" or "goodwill." Thus Maitreya has been referred to as the "Loving One" or the "Friendly One," the embodiment of all-encompassing love.

NAMO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.

Thank you for taking your precious time to visit my website.  My Dharma name
is Phuc Dai, 88 years of age.  With the help from family members and close
circle of friends to build this website, I am now able to share the
information about Buddhism and its act of Compassion.

In 1993, opportunities brought me to Thich Thanh Tu, a Buddhist Monk, who
kindly allowed me to attain enlightenment despite my age factor.
Nonetheless, due to the limitation of my age and health condition,
practicing Buddhism at home and lending hand to others seem to be more
suitable for me.
